Nigeria has emerged as the overall champion of the 2024 Africa Military Games (AMGA 2024), held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The Nigerian team delivered an outstanding performance, securing 114 gold, 65 silver, and 55 bronze medals, solidifying their dominance in the event.
Team Algeria claimed second place with 95 medals, including 52 gold, 22 silver, and 21 bronze. Following closely, Kenya ranked third with 20 gold, 16 silver, and 12 bronze medals, amounting to a total of 48 medals.
Ghana and Ethiopia rounded out the top five, with Ghana earning seven gold, 14 silver, and 15 bronze medals for a total of 36, while Ethiopia amassed six gold, eight silver, and two bronze medals, totalling 16 medals.
