Ghana Dominates Again, Wins Gold and Silver in Women’s 200m at AMGA 2024

Ghana’s dynamic duo, Mary Boakye and Kate Agyeman, shine once again at AMGA 2024.

The women’s 200m final at the ongoing Africa Military Games in Abuja was another showcase of Ghana’s sprinting prowess.

Mary Boakye, who had already established her dominance in the 100m, raced to her second Gold medal with a stellar time of 24.07 seconds.

Her compatriot, Kate Agyeman, followed closely behind with a Silver-winning performance of 24.63 seconds.

Kenya’s Loice Morara, earning her second Bronze medal of the games, rounded out the podium with a time of 24.93 seconds.

Boakye’s remarkable achievements continue to cement her status as one of Africa’s top sprinters.

An African Games finalist in the 100m, Boakye also clinched Bronze with Ghana’s women’s 4x100m relay team at this year’s African Games in Accra.

Adding to her accolades, she contributed to Ghana’s Silver medal in the 4x100m relay at the African Championships in Douala earlier this year.
