Ghana continued its impressive showing at the ongoing Africa Military Games 2024 as Shaibu Marizuk powered to victory in the men’s 200m final, held at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Marizuk, who had earlier secured a Silver medal in the 100m event, added to his medal tally with a stunning performance in the 200m, clocking an impressive 21.22 seconds to claim the top spot.
The Ghanaian sprinter outran a strong Kenyan duo comprising Cpl. Samuel Chege, who claimed Silver with a time of 21.41 seconds, and Sgt. Mike Mokamba, who finished with Bronze in 21.84 seconds.
The men’s 200m event was one of the most anticipated races, with fans on the edge of their seats as the athletes battled for supremacy on the track.
